The Way I See It

My name is Val Horvath and I’m a staff photographer at The Times in Shreveport, Louisiana. I’ve been here for two years, and before that I worked at The Facts newspaper in Clute, Texas. I’ve also interned at The Morning News in Florence, South Carolina, and The Lima News in Lima, Ohio. I graduated from Ohio University in 2003 and I’m originally from Lorain, Ohio.

It is my goal to have a full website up and running within the next year. Until then, you’ll find this blog. I started it because I’ve always hated the fact that I take pictures of everybody else’s life but my own. I thought it was time for me to shoot the things I see everyday. If you want to look at my portfolio and my other “good” work, you’ll have to go elsewhere. This is just for fun, and maybe even just for me.
